Agricultural and animal feed production
The purpose of agriculture is to meet the population's calorific needs, either directly or through providing feed that is converted into animal protein or dairy products. As the population increases, along with the way we seek to obtain these calories, the demand for agricultural land also increases. This brings conflict with other important ecosystems, such as tropical rain forests or wetlands and other land users. This needs to be managed to ensure the increased demand is met in a responsible manner.
About the certification scheme
The Exova BM TRADA Responsibly Sourced schemes allow the relevant products to be traced back through the supply chain to farms, plantations or fisheries certified to internationally approved standards for responsible production. Currently our schemes cover soy, cocoa and animal feed. For other commodities please email firstname.lastname@example.org
