Elliott achieves double first with FSC & PEFC

Elliott-Logo-(2).jpgElliott has announced that it has been awarded FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) chain of custody certification on its innovative Building Regulations-compliant rentable modular buildings.

Certification body BM TRADA, who independently audited the chain of custody procedures, confirmed that Elliott is the first company in the UK to be able to provide chain of custody ‘FSC Recycled 100%’ on an entire rentable fleet.

This innovative concept  of applying FSC certification to an entire rentable fleet offers Elliott customers a guarantee that all wood based products have been derived from a well-managed source or from post-consumer waste.

Elliott will now be able to use the internationally recognised FSC trademarks across its marketing material relating to its rentable building fleet.

“Gaining this certification represents an important industry first,” said Bertrand Quenot, Managing Director at Elliott. “We take the environment and sustainable use of materials extremely seriously and gaining FSC on our rentable fleet is another significant achievement in our goal of setting the benchmark for modular buildings.”

Rentable modular buildings from Elliott are suitable for a wide range of sectors including education, health and industry. They have an extremely high quality of fit out, are indistinguishable from a conventional build and are ready for handover in as little as eight weeks from completion of foundations.

Available on flexible rental terms, the buildings have a 50 year design life and can be supplied to HTM / HBN requirements, when used in the health sector, as well higher levels of BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology).

Elliott sought endorsement by PEFC and FSC because they are globally recognised for their sustainability standards and currently have the world’s largest area of forests under certification.
